What is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure that uses minimally invasive techniques to reshape the nose and correct nasal defects. All it takes is to inject filler material such as hyaluronic acid below the patient’s skin to temporarily change the structure of the nose.

This procedure can enhance the contours of a patient’s nose profile and fix minor imperfections. on the bridge, tip, and sides of the nose. Liquid rhinoplasty is preferred by many patients due to its convenience. It is also less painful than a surgical procedure, costs less, and requires almost no downtime.

It is not ideal, however, for patients looking for more permanent or dramatic results. Some cosmetic and functional concerns cannot be fixed without a surgical nose job procedure. Patients who do not want a temporary treatment might also prefer surgical nose job.

Your Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Consultation

Before scheduling a liquid rhinoplasty, Dr. Schrader conducts a private consultation with her prospective patients. During this consultation, they discuss what the liquid rhinoplasty procedure involves, including its limitations and benefits.

Based on her assessment, Dr. Schrader will then suggest the right treatment to the patient, whether that’s a non-surgical or traditional rhinoplasty.

How is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Performed?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a fairly simple procedure, though it requires a great deal of skill to perform. Dr. Schrader’s experience allows her to realistically reshape the nose and provide subtle, natural-looking results.

The key ingredient for this procedure is an injectable dermal filler, typically made from hyaluronic acid.

By altering the shape of the affected area, the patient’s overall facial appearance improves. Only a slight pinch is felt during the procedure, which usually takes well under an hour.

Based on the patient’s skin, their expectations, and the filler ingredient used, the results of the procedure may vary from patient to patient.

What Is the Objective of Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

By targeting the tip, bridge, and sides of the patient’s nose, the liquid rhinoplasty can:

  • Make the patient’s nose more prominent
  • Add some more volume to the patient’s nose
  • Lift the patient’s nasal tip

Dr. Schrader will let you know if your goals are compatible with non-surgical rhinoplasty. If not, she may recommend a surgical procedure.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Schrader as well with her staff. I was extremely pleased with the results. It is a pleasure coming to her office. Everyone is so caring and professional. Highly recommended.

Does non-surgical rhinoplasty involve side effects?

For most patients, the only side effect is a little temporary redness and sensitivity in the treatment area. Other side effects may include swelling, bruising, nausea, and filler movement.

What are the signs of complications after a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Most complications occur as a result of poor technique. Choosing an experienced doctor like Dr. Schrader will reduce your risk of developing complications. How much time will I need to recover from a liquid rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty requires almost no recovery time. Many patients have been known to resume their regular activities the same day. Others take a day or two to recover.

How long before the dermal filler fully metabolizes?

Depending on the type of filler ingredient used, it should take somewhere between 6 months to 3 years to fully dissolve.

Who should perform a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

A plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure should perform your non-surgical rhinoplasty. Why? Because they will deliver the results you desire while minimizing the risks involved. Preferably, choose a surgeon who is board-certified.
