What you’re seeing here is upper eyelid hooding. Over time, the skin of the upper lid loses elasticity and begins to descend. In some cases it’s genetic and shows up early.
The eyes start to look smaller. Tired. Heavy, even on a full night of sleep.
Upper blepharoplasty is the procedure that addresses it.
What you should know if you’re considering it:
The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia and m ost patients are back to normal activity in 7–10 days. Bruising and swelling resolve within 2 weeks and final results settle around the 3-month mark.
A well-done upper blepharoplasty lasts 10–15 years
